Hey guys, sorry I've been away so long. Crazy what moving back home and trying to build a life as a single parent can do to a business/hobby that's (hopefully) on the rise. Anyway, we've once again moved, and this time it's to Georgia. We've also expanded from solely being a computer-related business to offering automotive repair and customization, as well as event photography and other services.

Recently, RCE Computers has moved from Missouri to Connecticut, where Chris originally got his start working with computer. With the advent of this relocation, Troy and Jenna have unfortunately been removed from our list of active employees. However, there will be some new faces showing up on the Staff page soon.
We have a new (remote) graphic designer, Chelsey, who will be helping with the general look and feel of the site, as well as assisting Chris with any graphics projects that might present themselves. Kat is our new apprentice, who will be working alongside Chris to learn any skills he may be able to teach her regarding general PC construction, maintenance, modding, and repair, as well as laptop repair. And finally, there is Kevin, our new software and virus technician. With the addition of these new staff members, there will come changes made to the site, hopefully in the form of a new, complete redesign. We are also working on a custom-designed and built PC Case, which will be featured on the site once it's complete, and if things turn out well, we will be offering custom-made cases in the future as well. Although our Lab isn't quite complete yet, (we haven't found a real location yet), we decided to document the process of construction Troy's new PC. So here, for your viewing pleasure, is a photo documentation of the components and work that went into Troy's Rosewill Armor Full ATX case I've started a bit of work on the new look of our site by adding some new pages to the layout, like our Store (Coming Soon) and Extras pages. We're also thinking about doing a "Life of a Computer" type page, where you guys can see what we start with, and how a computer goes from a plastic and metal box to a custom Desktop built to the users specific needs and desires.
So, that being said, would anyone like to see slide show, or possibly a video, of what goes into our designing and building a PC? Due to the slight increase in general traffic I've been seeing lately, I've decided to update the entire site with some new pages, maybe a new color scheme, and a few new features; one of which will be a checklist/order sheet for anyone who needs a PC Built or upgraded.
If all goes as planned, every page on the site will have a new layout, and a few new pages will be added. Check back later, and feel free to leave any suggestions you might have in the comment box --Chris Finally got a commission in Saint Joe: a Budget Gaming PC. Specs, Photo and price will be up soon after the build is complete. For now I can tell you it's designed to be a Windows 7 PC capable of running Starcraft 2. We're hoping to get more commissions soon, maybe the holiday season will bring some customers looking for gifts for their children or something of the like. In any case, that's all the news I have for now, hope to see you soon
---Chris We at RCE Computers are now accepting commissions in the St Joseph area for anyone needing a Custom-built PC, PC Repair, troubleshooting, or just some new internet security. We're also accepting commissions for any Photography you may need done, or advice in any of the aforementioned areas. If you're interested in any of our offered services, feel free to contact us for an estimate or to set a date.
See you soon. -Chris I've recently re-installed Macromedia Suite 8 in conjunction with the notion to start up this website, and lately I've been trying to re-light the thirst for design I had in high school, which is where I first acquired this wonderful software suite. In an attempt to resurface the few things about Fireworks 8 that I learned in my graphics design class, I decided to design a completely custom PC case. The accompanying photo is the current stage of said design. The PC itself was a design implemented for Jenna, with her input as to the color, tones, and building materials. The green and black swirled square on the top of the case, and the swirled star on the side panel are representative of the clear window and green LEDs that will be installed should this case see fruition, and the green panels on the front of the case represent the expansion bays and front-panel audio/USB jacks, whereas the star is yet another panel window for the front-side fan, and the is Jenna's signature symbol for all of her art work. The current layout is a final draft; however, the image itself is still in the semi early stages. Once I've had a bit more experience with the web-design half of MacSuite8 I'll be uploading a time line of the image growth from my original idea to the current and final designs of Jenna's (hopefully to be realized) dream PC case. After this project is finalized, look for another similar line of images and updates correlating to my own custom PC, or to one for whoever asks first. For now, I'm off. Enjoy the site. -Chris We have a few projects in the works right now, mostly personal, but a couple business. Not entirely sure what else to say, but so far here's the list of upcoming projects, business and otherwise.
Jenna is going to be building herself a new desktop in the near future, At the same time as Jenna's new build, Chris is going to be re-building his old system. Brian from Poor White Boys Productions has contracted us to design a new PC for his personal use. And Jenna's brother has contracted us to repair and rebuild his PC. (See Portfolio; Third image) |
